Z31 DSM Fuel Injector guide
There are many fuel injectors you can use when upgrading your fuel delivery of your Z31. one of the more common injector types used is the DSM 11mm o-ring injector. Here we will explain how to identify the injector flow volume by using the stamped ID Part numbers from various DSM Injectors found in the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser.
Color coding and Casting Numbers
Mitsubishi Injectors are color coded and have unique casting numbers! Nippen Denso (ND) was so kind to stamp identification numbers on both sides of the plastic body.
| Engine | Model Number | Injectors-Casting | Type and Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Non-Turbo 1.8L | N210H | INP-057 | (210cc High Impedance) |
| Non-Turbo 4G63 | N240H | INP-059 | (240cc High Impedance) |
| Turbo 4G63 A/T | B390L | INP-008 | (390cc Low Impedance) |
| Turbo 4G63 M/T | B450L | INP-009 | (450cc Low Impedance) |
| 2G Turbo BlackTops | MDL450 | IPN-081 | (450cc Low Impedance) |
| 2.4 | MDH275 | IPN-065 | (275cc High Impedance) |
| Note | JDM motors that came with the B16G had yellow 510cc injectors | ||
Using these Injectors
In order to use the above injectors with your Z31 you would need to also upgrade your engine management by either using a NISTUNE add-on in the stock ECU or by using a standalone unit like Megasquirt.
